Why are we called to grow as believers?

The life of a Christian is a constant configuration of one’s own person with Christ. In the words of Saint Paul in the letter to the Philippians: “Have the same mindset as Christ Jesus” (Phil 2,5) and also to the Christians of Colossae he says “Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience” (Col 3,12). The life of a Christian is to fulfil, with their existence, the commandment of Love that Jesus Christ Himself left us: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another” (John 13,34).

This process lasts a lifetime and leads to becoming more and more conformed to Christ. This is carried out by properly reading the signs of the time we have to live in and moving forward on the path towards holiness, the vocation to which we are all called. With regard to its achievement, catechesis of various types and ages plays a primary role.

In the parish of the Sagrada Família there are various activities that accompany the faithful on this path, welcoming and attending to each one, according to their particular needs and circumstances.
