The Escolania, founded in 2000, has been developing a musical task at the service of choirchildren. It is currently made up of around 15 boys and girls aged between 8 and 14, from various schools near the Temple. The boys and girls are trained in voice and singing, they receive lessons in instruments and musical language.
They interpret repertoires by Baroque, Romantic and Contemporary authors, such as Haëndel, Bach, Mendelssohn and also by Catalan authors such as Pau Casals, Ireneu Segarra, etc. As Escolania, they regularly participate in Eucharistic celebrations in the crypt of the Sagrada Família and also take part in Montserrat and other churches.
